The brother Vock were well known from the 1930s into the 1970s . Alfred, one of the brothers runned his bicycle shop in Thalwil near the train station. Before 1939 he was Swiss Champion of cyclo cross. His other brother had his bicycle and motorcycle shop next to the athletic stadion “Letzigrund” in Zurich.

This Vock “Gigolo” bicycle was the personal bike of Peter Vock. The frameset is made of Reynolds 531 and a complete set of Nervex Professional lugs. Fork, steering tube lugs and rear quarter are chrome plated. Many of the components you usually find on racing bicycles. The crankset is an A. Duprat Professionnel, the high flange hubs from Fratelli Brivio (FB), spokes are DT Swiss Competition and the saddle is a Brooks B17 Narrow.  Other components are Weinmann light alloy clincher rims, Weinmann Parisienne brake levers and Weinmann brakes, a chrome plated “Parisienne” handlebar, and an elegant  Milano-style chain box. The paint is an old rose fading to black and egg shell with gold lug lining and white and black pin stiping. The head badge is from anodized aluminum. The Vock “Gigolo” is kept in original condition. The 3ttt stem was mounted later. After the photo shooting a correct Philippe stem replaced the 3ttt. NIB sport pedals from Way-Assauto from the 1960s and a new set of Kenda tyres have replaced the worn components.
