History & Specifications

In the early 1970s, J.P. Weigle completed an internship as a frame builder at Witcomb Lightweight Cycles in London, at almost the same time as Richard Sachs. Back in Connecticut, the two took over as Witcomb’s U.S. representatives. After the U.S. branch closed, Peter Weigle decided in 1977 to build frames under his own name. To this day, he exclusively crafts custom frames to order. Since the early 2000s, he has refocused his efforts. He is known worldwide and highly regarded for having revitalized the randonneur scene with his aesthetically and technically flawless frames and his selection of components.

The road bike is equipped with a complete Campagnolo Super Record groupset featuring a 2 x 6-speed drivetrain with an internally routed brake cable in the top tube, a Chris King headset, a Cinelli stem, Cinelli Mod. Campione del Mondo handlebars, a Cinelli saddle, and Mavic Monthlery Route rims with DT Super Champion spokes. It is fitted with Collé 22 mm tires.

The bike has some signs of wear on the paint and is in very good mechanical condition.
