A Pietro Del Po Gigolo bicycle from 1952 when the zurich based framebuilder Pietro del Po moved his first shop from the Jaegergasse to Militärstreet 81 in Zurich-Aussersihl. Gigolo bicycles were the choice of professionals and amateurs to ride an elegant Single Speed wearing a suit to ride from cafes to bars in downtown Zurich. They often were equipped with racing components, light tubing and had a splendid paint scheme. This Del Po rolls on Fratelli Brivio track hubs and Weinmann clincher rims, the crankset is an A. Duprat Professionnel, Milano style chaincover, Weinmann Parisienne brake levers and a Brooks B17 leather saddle. The frame is made of Reynolds tubing, the Nervex steering lugs, the fork and the rear triangle are chrome plated and have a silber- translucent blue fade paint job. The bicycle is in original condition. During the preservation no part had to be replaced.
