«Cinelli Gazzetta della Strada» explosion installation, 2017

Installation for the exhibition «Bike / Design / City» from 28. January to 30. July 2017 at the «Gewerbemuseum» in the city of Winterthur, Switzerland. The work includes the proposal of the bicycle to present, the complete disassembling of the Cinelli, the degreasing of all parts, the development of the layout, the photomontage in Photoshop, the layout of the numbering, the digital masterplan of the mounting holes, the montage of all parts with wires, the lettering sign.

Selection of Swiss bicycles from 1936 - 1988, 2017

Installation for the exhibition «Bike / Design / City» from 28. January to 30. July 2017 at the «Gewerbemuseum» in the city of Winterthur, Switzerland. The work includes the preselection of the Swiss bicylces from my collection, the layout and dimensioning of the wall installation, participation of the development of the wall mounting hardware, the caption, the data treatment for the touchscreen presentation and the loan of the model book «kick into next gear».

Milestones Campagnolo parallelogram derailleurs, 2017

Installation for the exhibition «Bike / Design / City» from 28. January to 30. July 2017 at the «Gewerbemuseum» in the city of Winterthur, Switzerland. The work includes the research of the design-history of Campagolo rear derailleurs, the definition of the milestones, the aquisition of the derailleurs including the search for private lenders, the presentation design including the text, image and patent drawings.

Campagnolo Super Record Swarovski, 2015

Campagnolo Super Record bicycle components from 1973 – 1986 are design icons. A finishing with Swarovski crystals gives them a touch of a jewellery.

The project  was done with my own hands, including all steps from the idea to the design and manufacturing process of the prototypes on the miiing machine and to set the stones.

Decal sets vectorized, 2004–2016

Reconstuction and vectorization of unavailable bicycle decals for racing bicycle restoration projects. Some of them were silk screen printed in the finest available quality.

Coassin Speciale Titane, 2010

The 3D-animation honors Vittorio Coassin for his work as a frame builder and pioneer in the construction of titanium bicycle frames. The frames were engineered and produced in collaboration with Alessandro Manfredi, founder of Comepre S.r.l. in Settimo Milanese, Italy. The company is an European pioneer working in special metal alloys like titanium, zirconium and tantalum. It's the voice  of Vittorio Coassin telling a short story about making the titanium frames and lightweigth components.

Media Quicktime movie 768 x 576 pixel, modelling in Rhino 4, animation in Cinema 4D, compositing and final rendering in Adobe After Effects.

Coassin Catalog No 2, 2008

The extensive research, which preluded this work, resulted in the re-discovery of unique photographic documentations of the Coassin Lightweight components including the titanium frameset. The b/w prints which were digitalized and the catalog designed and could then be presented to the public for the very first time.
